My dad! *lol* Oh man my dad. The little mouse in our house (Dr. Seuss much?) finally decided to make it's debut a little while ago. My sister called to my dad and was like "Papa. There's a mouse in the kitchen." Why did my dad, who was asleep and in his pj's at the time, put on his work boots, and then went outside and found this huge-ass stick that looks sort of like a walking stick to kill the mouse with? O__O I asked "Um, papa. What are you doing with all that stuff?" You know what his reply was? "Well, we don't have any traps, so I'm going to get it with this stick. If it runs, then I'll stomp him with my boots." 

*inhale*

It was so funny. He was in there banging around so much that he scared my poor little nephew to death. I took him in my room and watched 'Thomas the Train' with him until dad finally gave up. Seriously, my dad was totally into trying kill the little thing. He even went to sleep with the freaking boots on and with that stick propped up on the corner of his bed. 

Dad is so awesome *lol*. I love the guy.

I was talking with one of my buddies on AIM just a little while ago, and she basically told me that she thinks that fangirls are stupid. *lol* Well, I don't think that's true. Just because a girl is infatuated with and gushes over a hot guy/girl, that doesn't make them stupid. I mean, look at some of my buddies here on lj that gush over JE boys. Many of them speak at least two different languages (fluently nonetheless) and one of them is even in medical school right now. Hell, I even tend to have little spurts of *gaga*-mania going every once and a while, but I think its safe to assume that my hormones and my intellect are fairly independent of one another. So yeah...that was a pretty passive generalization that she had going there. But whatever, that's her opinion and at least she said it to me only. It's not like she went onto a JE forum and started a ruckus or anything. Despite the fact that we don't agree on some things, we can at least talk about them without wanting to beat the living shit out of each other in the end. That's what buddies are for *lol*.

You know, I was sitting at my desk today, doing absolutely nothing, and then all of a sudden I was bombarded with memories of my childhood. Despite the fact that my parents weren't very financially stable for most of my young life, I never felt underprivileged or unhappy. I had three loving, and sometimes very annoying, siblings to keep me company. Though my father worked from 6am to 5 pm, he always took us out to play for at least an hour, had dinner with us, and read to us every single night. My mother was a stay-at-home mom, but she made a living as a seamstress. She made some of the most beautiful pieces of clothing that I'd ever seen. Most of then have yet to be challenged (aesthetically) as far as I'm concerned; and whenever I became ill during school, I always felt secure in the fact that there was always someone at home to come and get me...and pet me up like the spoiled brat that I was *lol*. I guess I'll stop by mom's grave and drop her a 'thank you' this weekend. 

So yeah, even though those memories came out of left field, I can't even begin to describe how awesome they made me feel. I'm grateful to have been born into my family...despite wanting to shoot a few people every now and then.

I listened to this song like 9 times on my mp3 player today, and it made me feel really giddy. I can't believe that those guys went from this to this.  It's very amusing to realize that one of my favorite groups were real live bishies back in the day *lol*. And all that pretty hair! Did the first two vids not remind you of shampoo commercials? *lol* They're all so masculine now though. The drummer has also changed, but he's been with the band for 10-11 years now, so yeah. The lead singer is actually the little leprechaun in my icon *lol*.  Anyway, they make good music.
